Students Reporting for Work in the Community

September 2022

Is your business currently hiring? The Highland Park Chamber of Commerce and TrueNorth Educational Cooperative 804 are here to provide local businesses with access to employees through a pool of student applicants. TrueNorth will support you with tools and training. You will see a more diverse workforce, with potential for increased productivity and employee morale and a healthier culture.

One of our newest vocational training sites is Crumbl Cookies in Northbrook, where two Glenbrook North High School seniors have been busy working. From cleaning to assisting customers, the students are learning invaluable job skills. Many thanks to Employment Specialist Kate Szopinski for working with these students on-site. Also, a Glenbrook North High School junior has been enjoying his time working at Walgreens in Glenview.

Many local businesses are currently providing paid employment for our students–find our list of local businesses here. To tap into the Hiring Pipeline resource, reach out to Ginny Glasner at the Highland Park Chamber of Commerce at 847-432-0284.
