Welcome to North Shore Academy!

We are a K-12 public therapeutic day school that is designed to support students who have been identified with emotional or behavioral disabilities. We are committed to developing an educational community that embraces and supports students who struggle to cope effectively with the stresses of a general education environment.

Our goal is to provide our students with the skills they need to return to their home school as engaged and successful students and, just as importantly, to begin to prepare them for life after high school. The students and families of North Shore Academy are strong and resilient, caring and courageous. Facing the stresses of any combination of: depression, anxiety, social skills deficits, autism spectrum disorder, impulsivity, histories marked by trauma or loss, chronic school failure and learning problems, they work to create a community in which they help one another to grow and change.

The skilled and educated staff at North Shore Academy partner with families, students, school districts, and community agencies to foster the dreams and hopes of students and families whose lives often feel derailed by the challenges of school. Our elementary school supports students in grades K through 5th on the Revere campus and middle and high schools are located on Red Oak Lane in Highland Park.
