    Related and Itinerant Services

    TrueNorth provides related and itinerant services, including Adapted Physical Education, Health, Integrated Assistive Technology, Occupational Therapy, Physical Therapy, Speech and Language, and Vision.

    North Shore Academy and Elementary

    North Shore Academy is a k-12 therapeutic day school serving learners with social, emotional and behavioural needs through:

    Arbor Academy & Structured Academic Integrated Learning (SAIL)

    Arbor Academy & SAIL serve students on the autism specrtrum or with similar learning profiles.

    Arbor Academy is a therapeutic day school that provide instruction in language development, communication skills, generalization skills, and behavioral intervention with a basis in principles of Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) in classrooms supported by a Board Certified Behavior Analyst and an Instructional Coach. Plus, monthly "early release" days allow for specific work with families in the home environment.

    SAIL takes the foundation of Arbor Academy and adds other evidence-based interventions such as video-modeling, use of social stories, and social thinking concepts. Group instruction and generalization of skills into general education classrooms is a focus. SAIL classrooms are housed in Districts 28 and 34.

    Professional Learning & Coaching

    From workshops to job-embedded learning with individuals and teams of educators, Professional Learning and Coaching helps educators increase their efficacy that translates to student results. The team consists of teachers, school psychologists, speech and language pathologists, and other related services staff, bringing a variety of specialization areas to every engagement.
